Responsibilities

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for the day to day Operation of the Gift Shop with emphasis in in the areas of five diamond guest service, talent management and team member relations. The Retail Supervisor is also responsible for attracting and retaining customers, making the Gift Shop a known destination in Black Hawk. 

 

The Retail Supervisor, as with all members of the Monarch Casino Resort Spa Team, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance.  This position shares in the Monarch Casino Resort Spa support of the company’s vision, mission, values, and consistently performs all functions in a fashion that inspires and motivates others to actively pursue them.

Qualifications

  • 1 years of previous retail experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Provide a warm welcome to our internal and external guests.
  • Ensure a 5 Star shopping experience for our guests.
  • Answer all guest questions and proactively suggest items for purchase fitting their needs.
  • Efficiently checking out guests, which involves ringing up the items, engaging the guest in conversation, collecting a form of payment for charges incurred and neatly wrapping the items purchased.
  • Handle large amounts of currency accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist guest with any concerns that they may have and record such comments and concerns.
  • Complete and process all necessary paper work in neat and accurate manner.
  • Answers the phone within three rings and with a smile.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
