    Monarch Casino in Black Hawk is building a 23 story resort that will have over 500 rooms, 4 restaurants, and a full service spa/salon which is expected to open this summer!

    • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as casino operation of tools and equipment, routine maintenance, inspections, and other critical mechanical operations.
    • Instruct team members in the importance of accuracy and efficiency
    • Creates instructional guides
    • Presents subject matter to team members, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques, such as lectures, discussions or hand on demonstrations
    • Hands on and classroom training for the following:
      • for all electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems to ensure they are functioning properly at all times
      • proper maintenance duties throughout the casino
      • proper escalation for any failures in all casino lighting fixtures, electrical systems, and/or temperature control units
      • proper painting procedures
      • Identifying, locating and operating all building equipment required for day to day operation, including shut off valves for all utilities and fire suppression systems.
      • repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers
      • lockout/tagout systems
      • Basic knowledge in all or most of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical equipment, plumbing, systems and automation controls, carpentry and finish skills, appliance / kitchen equipment repair, vehicles, and/or general building maintenance.
      • Ability test, troubleshoot, train, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.

    • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License
    • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
    • Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Work from heights; lifts, ladders or scaffolding. Work in restricted spaces; crawl spaces, sump areas, attics, etc.
    • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
    • Perform other job duties as requested.
